In an effort to enlighten those who haven’t seen all of the best flash work on the Internet, I’ve started highlighting the best flash authors around. This began with Cyriak, and will periodically continue. This post is about Weebl.
Weebl and his team have their own brew of flash. When you mix sheerly insane concepts with amusing songs and characters, and the occasional loop, you get Weebl’s stuff. Perhaps his most well-known video is Badger Badger Badger:
If you haven’t seen this, where have you been hiding? This has many spinoffs and various special editions, and was an internet sensation for some time. Weebls-stuff took off, and soon developed another the most iconic works, Magical Trevor:
It did not end here. With a still-running quintilogy of Magical Trevors, and at least a dozen different series, Weebls-stuff has exploded with entertainment. One of my favorites of late has been Cat Face (”he’s got the face of a cat, and the body of a cat”!). Cat Face is essentially a talking cat with a giant head who floats around. Ingenious!
