Ted Stevens, if you don’t remember him, was an aging senator from Alaska (he has since resigned, video below). He is most famous for explaining the Internet, because we clearly all don’t have such a keen understanding of things as him. If you missed that post, here’s a link.

 Ted Stevens, looking out for his home state of Alaska, had attempted to hide an opening of more of Alaska’s oil reserves in the defense bill being passed. Upset that his clear and proper attempts at legislation had failed, he resigned. Covered by one of our nation’s most distinguished news anchors, Mr. John Stewart:
