What is TCPIP.SYS, and why should you give a damn?
If you use your network connection heavily in any way (games, torrents, streaming media, etc.), you’re one of those people who always wishes it could be faster. If you run XP, it can be! Microsoft decided that people didn’t need that many connections to their PC at one time, and hence capped them. This evil practice can be overcome by patching the TCPIP.SYS file, and changing a value to allow as many connections as you desire.

That link is to the english version of the lastest TCPIP.SYS patcher.
Simply run the file and you’re off. Keep in mind, it does require a restart! So don’t go running it in the middle of something unsaved.
