I’ve just run across a video that was actually shown to kids in their schools years ago. My best guess (based on the computers and screen contents in the video) is that it takes place in the early 90s. It’s called “Don’t Copy That Floppy”, and it explains to us some important things about piracy. Apparently it’s bad to give a copy of software to a person, because the entire computer era will abruptly end. I strongly caution everyone to watch this (and rofl intensively):

It’s at least a decade later and computer games are still being produced - imagine that. It’s my experience that even the most hardcore pirates will buy a game if they truly feel the company has done well enough to deserve the income. If you know a pirate, be sure to purchase a hat, and dance like an idiot while blathering about copies so he gets the message.
